I think that we’ve just seen a glimpse of the future.
Obviously, McVay will tailor his game plans based upon the weaknesses of each weekly opponent.
But I will say this. This 12 personnel running game is devastating, and should just destroy any team that is weak vs the run. The Ram WR blocking puts this running game over the top.
Hard to deny how important a strong running game would be in the playoffs.
Yes 12 personnel is effective yesterday against this patriots team. Doesn't mean it will be effective against other teams. I think that was the problem with the ultra heavy use of 11 personnel when teams planned for it they were able to dictate what mcvay could do out of it. We need to stop being so reliant on one type of formation or personnel grouping mix it up and keep teams guessing.
