We've been through so many of the years, but I cringe every time he takes it out of the end zone. And it's not about the fumble - he has been fairly sure-handed, it's his lack of instincts and vision. He doesn't seem to see return lanes and has a habit of running right into a crowd of defenders or missing inside lanes and cutting outside to be tackled immediately. He can't break tackles or make people miss. Any ball he returns at the goal line is guaranteed to not make it even to the 25. So he loses field position with every return.
I really don't understand why he's back there / on the active roster.
Is 3 fumbles in 44 opportunities sure-handed? (Not being combative, what's a good average?)
I don't see him as anything special. Can Triston Jackson return punts?
