Yeah, I think he's just getting an early start on his off season. Jets are doing him a favor and by falling on his sword, so to speak, Gase hangs on for another week. No way were they actually trying to win that game.

I just don't understand the "suck for Lawrence" approach. It isn't like he's the next Andrew Luck sitting there, waiting to be drafted. Lawrence hasn't even declared yet and said he would consider going back to school rather than be drafted by the Jets. With all of the confusion of the NCAA year this year, I don't see how any player can be properly evaluated.

But the Jets are going to go 0-16 so they can get their guy? Some owners NEED to be fired.
