We know what this offense is with him as the WR3. It's not good. Jefferson is better at separating and represents at least a potential for improvement. How much improvement is arguable but the bottom line is that McVay is finally giving in to what the film is telling him. I know Yarbs and the staff loves JRey but he's not a difference maker. It's there on the film and the film doesn't lie.
The key though is that backfield. Arizona was a weak run defense going in, and of course we ran the ball well. It's still great to see it, but getting that run game going with real potency is the key for our playoff hopes. It's by far the single biggest thing this team needs to improve on in order to get to the big game with a chance to win it. Outside of the usual need to stay healthy.
