I remember old Stone face himself HOF HC Bud Grant once said to his PRs if you touch the ball inside the 20 I will cut you on Monday. I yelled at the TV just before that happened to just let it go especially at that point in the game, as you can just run a few plays and drain the clock,even more and with Hecker boot it down there and make them earn every yard . It makes me so darn mad when a PRer does that. I hope our ST Coach told him dont touch the darn ball for his sake. For a min I thought we might have a end the the game we dont have to sweat it out.
It use to be the 10yd line for punt returners always stand at the 10 and let it go if it is inside the 10. But nowadays just about every returner will catch it at the 5 yd line it seems. Maybe the punters have just gotten better at killing the ball and special teams doesn't coach that method anymore.
