They're not gonna change.
Goff is basically the same guy we drafted. Not saying he doesn't continue to get better, but the general positives are still his strengths and the general negatives are still his weakness.
And McVay hasn't changed much since the Bears game a couple years ago when his genius status had to be adjusted downward just a bit. Basically, some defenses fall for his stuff and some figure it out. We are rarely out of a game, so he is doing something right. He's got a system, and it is clear he is as stubborn as Fisher, if not more.
I usually get more frustrated with the play calling of McVay than the missed throws or turnovers by Goff.
It is what it is. Goff is decent, McVay is decent. We have a competitive team which is nice. We are 7-4. I would have took that in a heart beat at the beginning of the year.
Just make the playoffs and let's see if Goff can man up and if McVay can call a few good games in a row and we could make this a great year.
