Like to move away from the last game... obviously... so I'm hoping for replies that step away from the cliff and really reflect on where you think we stand... EVEN IF you might still feel we've bought the farm.
I'm still quite optimistic... about making the playoffs that is... after that it gets very 'iffy'. So much talent... everywhere.
I think we're all overly critical of our own players... someone else mentioned this, I forget who, but it was basically one is harder on one's own family than on strangers... because our family matters more. We want the best for them and we can, lets all admit it, be a little harsh in that regard. NOT trying to diminish healthy criticism here, just saying that IMHO we're still a very good team with some truly outstanding players who are currently suffering nothing more than what has happened to many 'great' teams in the past. Team's that stayed the course, doubled down on resolve, and made it work! Not in the least a 'rare' phenomena in the NFL.
The sky is STILL the limit... this isn't the GSOT out there, but they don't have to be... to get the job done. And no.... I don't see any of this as 'rose colored glasses' at all. I really think this team is talented, far above average... AND... able. - JamesJM
