This is my biggest concern. No legitimate veteran back-up. McVay either too cocky or niave to think that he is all Goff needs to succeed. Think about. If we invested in a veteran backup with solid starting experience early in Goffs career despite QB coach changes annually, we could have a much better read on Goff's future even before he got paid. Some say we already can see his trajectory well they had better vision than the organization and me. I just say that I agree with your assessment because I want the best man on the field. If Goff is as good as I think he can be I still want him worried that his back-up may be relied upon to finish a game or to take the position. I always admired teams that had a 1-2 punch and you knew their back-up was capable to win games.
