What was beautiful about rookies Jefferson & Akers getting their first NFL TD's..... Is they both played college football here in the great state of Florida and it happened to be at Tampa Bay.

My old friend for many years here in FL who is a Bucs fan said "it would be nice if one of your Rams Florida rookies scored a TD in the game." Go figure both of them did and then the former Bucs kicker from last year "Gay" kicked the game winning field-goal. I soaked it all in when it happened.

Cam Akers said that he knew he was the first read on his TD play, and he got excited when he heard the call. “I knew if I got the ball, I would score.”

One note is that Van Jefferson was also the first read on his own TD catch. Post-bye bringing some added trust in the rookies.
