I'm not anointing the Rams as Superbowl contenders. I'm merely saying that they didn't win this game on some strange bounce of the ball or a fluke. In fact, whatever wrong calls and ball bounces went Tampa's way all night.
It was indeed an NFC championship level game, and both teams knew that the result mattered as more than just 1 win or loss. It was a measurement of where they stand in the pecking order of good teams. The Rams proved to be more tough and resilient than the star-laden Bucs. That's what good teams who have a shot at the playoffs and beyond do.
