Not to mention throwing 51 times
Odds are you're going to have a few bad plays
And lastly I don't put either pick on Goff
Henderson looked lost and Goff threw it where is was supposed to be
And Woods was impeded, held etc otherwise that's a completion
I have nfl Sunday ticket and an 82 inch tv
I watch the channel with either 4 or 8 games on it at one time
I'm telling everyone in this board every qb makes a few bad decisions, bad throws, etc every game
The good to great overcome them
Goffs one game he couldn't overcome was Miami
It happens
Just wanna underline two key points: First, when mistakes happen - like the two JG pix or even the delay of game penalties - most fans don't know what they're seeing. Many fans don't even appreciate that there're a range of possible answers. That's true even of a lot of announcers, who typically have expertise we lack AND the benefit of instant replay when they want it.
Second, JG does NOT thrown anybody under the bus. He doesn't say anything that even HINTS of throwing a teammate under the bus. He says he made some dumb plays. What does he mean by that? Were his ints dumb plays? I think the one to Woods was a PERFECT pass on which his intended receiver was impeded just enough and the ref made no call. Had Woods not been held, that throw under those conditions (3rd and 10+, I believe), would have been a feather in his cap. I think it's very likely true that Henderson blew it on the other int. But Goff is never gonna say that. Like McVay, he's going to say that he should have been better, done better, even if the bulk of responsibility lies elsewhere.
The delay of games. Certainly, at least in part of Goff. AND, when the problem is as chronic as it is, it's also HUGELY on McVay. There's just too much going on. They need to thin it out, speed it up, something. OR maybe it's just a "con" of the way they do things that's more than worth all the "pros" they derive from doing it that way.
