That plan will probably reflect what Miami did on defense as they ratchet up the pressure on Goff to protect the CB's. Higbee better be a big part of McVay's counter to that approach.

I also expect the Seattle offense to more closely resemble the 49'er approach of quick passes to minimize Donald's impact. The key on defense will be whether or not the blitzes Staley dials up get home. If they don't, Russ will cook. Wilson won't bail the defense out by missing on deep opportunities like other QB's.

I only hope my fears about this game become relief. I see this as the pivotal game of the year. Whichever direction this game goes, so will the overall trajectory of the season.

Nice post Leoram. I agree Sheattle will try and bring some pressure...as they should. The big question is can the y pull it off? I am sure McVay will have a plan to counter any blitz's. He won't let that Miami thing happen again and the Sheattle D is no where near the level of Miami's.

I say we hit them hard and fast. Keep that S***tatle D on their heels by mixing up the run and pass with some quick hitters to Higbee and an occasional deep throw when it's there. We have to keep their LB's "guessing" where we are going by running more roll outs, reverses and screens. Something we have gotten away from on offense.

I don't think Sheattle will try to mimic the Whiners with a quick passing game. That's just not the way RW plays. It's not his strength. RW wants to break out of the pocket first chance he gets to "buy time" for his WR's to break free and chuck it deep. We need to keep him in the pocket and force the quicker throws from him. When pressured RW can make mistakes too just like he did in his last game. AD needs to hit him hard and often.

Gooo Rams!

#HelmetHornsMatter

“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.

“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
