it's not about make a bad couple of plays.... he literally could not figure out how to beat cover zero with these weapons and Sean McVay as a coach

we can discuss McVay not running the ball more... yes I acknowledge it but can you imagine a defense playing that coverage against an offense or QB that they respected max?

think about why they played that defense...that's what I can't shake and that's what you hear from both Jourdan and Rich on that podcast

I agree that defenses are getting to the point that they are daring Goff to beat them. That isn't a particularly good indicator. That's something you do with a rookie until he proves otherwise. Seems quite strange for a former pro bowler, 5th year QB to be getting that treatment.

But, I think analyzing Goff in the micro isn't necessary. It's quite easy to point to other QB's who have had a bad game, bad matchup, etc. However, in the macro we've got 2 full years of games now dating back to that KC game and in those 32 games, Goff is hovering right around an 80 rating. If you look at his career, he had a bad rookie year and now 2 years worth of bottom quarter of the league. He had one and a half top years. He's played twice as much sub-mediocre ball than he has top 10.

We seem to be seeing the real Goff at this point.
