The question isn't that, and anyone asking that question has it wrong IMO. What she should be asking is whether he still has greatness in his ceiling. Can he get there. To this point I have steadfastly believed the answer to be yes. But right now I am afraid he might always be a good QB who dissembles when he's pressured.

Also what has to be considered is the WR corps. Goff to date in 2020 has had 2 possession wideouts to throw to, a good TE, and one RB who is a plus weapon out of the backfield (Hendy). But if Van can get rolling I think we'll have 3 possession wideouts which will help him. And if Hendy/Akers take most of the short passes we'll have fewer stuffs and more plus gains all of which should add up to a noticeably better offense.

I like how you start off there. On the red bit? Well--it's not every time. You know the most times he has been pressured in a game since 2017? It was the 2018 Monday Night Chiefs game--pressured 21 times. The next most was 20 v. Tampa in 2019.

Against the Saints in New Orleans in the championship game, it was 10 times. In SF at the end of 2019 it was 12 times--and they lost that game cause of the defense, not the qb.

Those games tell me it does not always, absolutely get down to when he is excessively pressured in a game. It also tells me that when things go completely wrong with the Rams offense it does not simply reduce to Goff getting pressured. We all know that is a part of it but in those kinds of games (Chicago in 2018, the superbowl, the first SF game in 2019, Miami) there is also always something else happening. If that were NOT true then we would not have all the games I listed where he IS pressured excessively and the offense still comes through.
