That Goff wasn't the 3rd highest paid player in the league during the Superbowl run. The paths to building around him are much more limited. That's why ,no matter what market value is, you have to get elevated play from your qb when you pay him the way you do. The kid is like 27 so maybe there is one more tier that he can reach and stay there. Rams have pretty much banked on that for the next 2 years at least.

He just turned 26 and got paid the market value of what a franchise QB gets paid on their second contract, just wait a couple years it will look like a bargain....QB contracts just keep going up and up
A few years ago people moaned about how we should have taken Wentz....now Wentz is leading the NFL in turnovers and has the lowest QB rating in the league and is often injured
Deshaun Watson gets paid $39M a year and is currently leading the Texans to a 1-6 and don't think he's ever even won a playoff game
