His command of the short/quick passing game was really sharp those first couple of weeks. His footwork looks better and hes been moving much better in the pocket than in the past. He did a couple of things in that Buffalo game that really got my attention

The last couple of weeks have been a headscratcher ... his accuracy has been off. I was reading an article earlier today where he talked about his performance against the Niners not being acceptable and putting that performance on himself.

We are going to need him to be sharper beginning this week in Miami and then to keep pace with Murray and Wilson in what are likely to be high scoring games.

If he can get hot it would be a good thing to not only help us get to the playoffs but beyond that

I couldn't help but look at the playoff games you posted. In 4 playoff games he has 2 TDs.

4 years in this offense it just seems to me he should be able to switch between styles of play (quick ball, play action, drop back) better... we are going to find out a lot in these next 9 games

Fingers are crossed!

Go Rams!!!

For me the criticism vs a struggling 49ers team in SF was warranted.

Wins are very important intangibles but trends are something you don't want to happen in the negative.

If negative trends happen 2 games in a row, there is a serious problem that needs to be fixed imo.

The Bears game I expected to be tough because of their defense.

He played well considering the trend of how the Bears defense held prior QB's under the 100 rating.

vs NYG 25/32, YDS 200, TD 1, INT 0, Rating 103.1 (The team was flat after the BUF loss & so was he but played decent)

at SF 19/38, YDS 198, TD 1, INT 1, Rating 72.0 (This was bad egg by JG and the defense)

vs CHI 23/33, YDS 220, TD 2, INT 0, Rating 108.1 (This was a good performance considering the Bears QB ratings allowed)

2 of his last 3 games have ratings over 100 even with the missed throws and some of the hiccups that frustrate us.

For myself, Goff needs to have 2 games in a row with QB ratings of less than 80 for me be concerned.

The trend that seems to be in his favor, is he's getting ratings over 100 when he's not even playing great ball.
