Under what hypothetical circumstances would you not place JG under
your critical *microscope*?
I think he's a good QB - top-3rd w/a real chance to get to top-7, even top-5. So, for me, it'd take a string of bad performances to really move me off that because he's shown me plenty over the last 3+ seasons. So the questions I consider well-answered are: is this guy good? Can he be more than a "manager"? Can he help a team win a Super Bowl? To me, the answers are clearly YES and it'd take much more than an occasional egg to shake me on that score.
What I'm much less certain about is the answer to the he question, how good can this guy be? And there're two related questions.
1) Can he raise his performance floor consistently? That is, can he get to a point where clunkers like Sunday are truly rare?
2) Can he raise his performance ceiling consistently? I.e., can he more consistently generate elite performances (like against KC, the Saints in the NFC Championship, or the Vikings, all in 2018)?
For me, the answers to those questions necessarily come over a stretch of games.
So, again, what would it take for you not to put him under your microscope?
