I've changed the verbiage of prior posts that "Jared Goff is on the hot seat"
Jared's last game was a bad egg anyway you spin it.
Even with the Kupp drops or McVay's game plan not being up to par by some fans and NFL media gurus, it was one of those games a 5th year veteran QB didn't want to display on national TV vs a desperate division rival.
If he was sharp at the 49ers he would be getting accolades of all sorts this week.
He wasn't and that was a statement game for him to be had imo.
After 6 games he still warrants a QB rating of 101.4.
QB ratings can often be over or underrated depending on the eye of the beholder and the NFL competition faced.
Regardless of his underwhelming performance last Sunday night, all eyes will be on Goff to see if he rebounds from his bad egg at SF.
I'm basing this post with the assumption both of these teams show up to play a solid football game and the Bears are not letting the Rams beat them with the run game.
The Rams may be favored by 5 points but our 5th year quarterback will be closely watched if this is a close game in the second half.
I know I'm not teaching anyone on this board something they don't already know but for myself, this game is going answer some questions about our QB should the running attack be average or worse.
We all know this is a huge game vs the Bears Monday night and it probably will tell us more about the Rams than the sweep of the NFC East and the loss at SF.
