The game within this game IMO will be establishing the run (both sides) and whether SF can take advantage of Fuller being out. Fuller plays next to Hill in their base quarters, or did. Now it's going to be either Rapp or Burgess. That means room for mistakes so Shanny will have some stuff cooked up on that side to force errors.
In the last game the Rams did mix Long in at Hill's spot for a couple series in the second half and he played pretty well but wasn't really tested because of the rush. I'd imagine we'll see more of that, though maybe the Rams will be afraid to do that right away.
The 9ers will get us a few times I expect in the passing game because of that and Shanny being as good as he is. But it's hard to imagine them doing it enough to beat us. We'd need the OL to play very poorly on top of that IMO.
You’re assuming that the 49er QB will be able to take advantage? Whoever that QB might be?
