I was posting about Reeder in the GTF but my issue was more about how he was being used than anything else. He does his job against the run and obviously did well rushing the passer, but I didn't understand why the Rams had him in pass coverage. That's his weakness, and I thought they would try not to expose him like they did.
In fairness to the Rams it seemed like that was more of an issue early in the game than later on: could be they also saw Reeder struggle in coverage and the adjustment was to blitz him more and drop into coverage less as the game went on? In which case I have nothing but praise for Staley making that in-game adjustment.
