I'll take that for sure.
My only problem with Akers, he's a rookie. It takes time to adjust to the physical demands of a 16 game NFL season. Along with learning the playbook.
And thus, he was rolling along, but can't go in the biggest game(s) of the year. My fears of a rookie realized.
Henderson needs to STEP UP bigtime. Carry the load and not get hurt. He needs to be healthy and ready to go for the next 3 weeks.
Let's get this WIN on SUNDAY and prove last week was a fluke!
Yeah I do expect that Henderson will play well vs the next two defenses. Simply because the Rams' OL won't be overmatched by either of those DL units which is what gives our offense fits. Seattle can stop the run reasonably well but they're not overpowering. Big game for Hendy too I agree and we need him.
But come the playoffs we are going to need Akers. And he should be ready by then, never know with a high ankle but he's a tough dude and it's the playoffs so I expect he'll play just hope he's full go. If things don't align like that for us, and if the OL doesn't do a good job up front in the run game, we'll be quickly eliminated in the playoffs.
But if we do get a good run game going there is room for the Rams to be a wildcard (I think that's the level of team the 2020 Rams are) and make some noise and maybe even be the last team. It's a longshot but with a run game I think they can play with anyone.
