Ok, I guess I kinda get it. Even Washington is technically in the running for that sorry-azzed East Division title. So maybe Rivera thinks the change will spark his team and give them a better chance to win against the Rams.
I still think it's Fool's Gold though. Don't think they have any shot at the division or much chance against the Rams either. And really, Haskins was pretty much viewed as a bit of a project coming out of college due to his lack of experience. And he's still basically a rookie. Just one year on a bad team with a new coaching staff with no OTA's nor preseason games this year under his belt. I didn't think he was off too that bad of a start anyway considering everything.
I definitely would have gave him more playing time and chances to prove if he is their guy or not. Especially since it is a new regime and they could be afforded time to see what they have with him.
