Kiss of death for Jefferson from mcvay. How many times have we heard this line from mcvay. Let's look back on this he said this about Tavon,Gurley,Everett, and Cooks. With the exception of Everett everyone has been cut or traded after McVay said that he wanted to get them more involved. And I expect Everett to be next on the chopping block. McVay is very intentional with his personel and his scheme and planning for players. He doesn't just forget about them out of the blue that's his excuse to the press to say these guys our in his doghouse in a nice way. We all know his memory is legendary and he is deeply involved in every aspect of the offense he doesn't just forget about a player. Everything McVay does is intentional and with a purpose on offense it might be telling that Jefferson plays have dropped off cliff for some reason. Not saying Jefferson can't get it back but he is lacking something in his game at this point and McVay has him on notice until it improves.
Three words: he's a rookie.
Traditionally, WRs take about 3 years to acclimate and become the player they're going to be. Personally, I don't think the snaps VJ is getting or not getting is any indication at this point. He's a rookie behind a talented group.
