Rams O is #1
Rams D is 21
Rams STs are 31
The pleasantly surprising OL has catapulted the offense to the top of the league in efficiency. We all see it.
The Rams STs are downright dreadful. Not sure why, but McVay may have a problem fielding good STs. He’s the opposite of Fisher.
The defense is pretty much what I feared. It’s AD and Ramsey, a couple of decent players, but mostly below average starters like Ekuban, Kiser, SJD, Hill, Rapp, Floyd, etc...
We've played two very good offenses so far.....let's see what happens to those ranking after a couple games against the likes of the Giants and Redskins before we panic too much...they are all still trying to learn a new defense
The fundamentals on the offensive side of the ball are already strong and remained stable. Literally, the only major change in personnel was the huge upgrade from 2019 Gurley to Henderson/Brown/Akers.
Things VERY different, obviously, on the defensive side, from personnel to scheme - and so little preseason time to boot.
That's no guarantee that the D WILL pull it together. I think the lack of edge rushers is a legit concern that will persist, even after Lewis returns, if Staley doesn't dial up more blitzes. But I think it's fair to expect the D to improve - hopefully a lot - w/reps and film study.
