It's about not bringing up something that at this point is meaningless.....at this point it may look shrewd because all you have to gauge on is what the team sees in practice...what's reported.
IMO I think is at this point a fine move, Bortles has landed in what he really wanted...or at least the chance he was looking for. We saved $'s.
I am not on the wagon with our backup....I live locally to where he played in college, I have seen him....he can play the game...the level is much higher now....but he is a backup.....I think he can handle that duty for a game or 2 in the season....I am not looking for him to deliver anymore than what a backup should deliver....Use his feet, handle the huddle, manage the clock, be good with ball handling.
