An athlete is taught to move from his or her center. It mattered on a couple of Kiser's whiffs. Because he was unable to get his center under him, he ended up off balance and had little chance to bring his body to a sound position to stop the ball carrier. The result was several off-balance, lunging, air-grabbing misses.
Had he been able to move from a stable center, he would have had a better chance at making some of those tackles.
