McCarthy thought he would get enough on 3rd down with a run and end up with a 4th and 1 or maybe 2 at the most. Even when it ended up a little further, he didn't want to go away from his plan, so he just went for it. Basically, he was going for it no matter what, which ended up being a bad move. What a play by the rookie. Play of the year for the Rams so far!!
