Last year the Rams gave Woods a pay increase to get ahead of this issue of him grossly outperforming his contract. It was viewed as an unusual move at the time and generated good faith by the organization. Although the contracts of Gurley and Cooks didn't pan out...those moves send a clear message that the Rams financially reward their players even if it's a huge risk. Who wouldn't want to work for a team like that? It speaks to the overall culture of professionalism we enjoy now that was missing in the Martz dysfunction.
