Anchrum was working as the backup left tackle Wednesday, even though he was expected to primarily be a guard for the Rams to begin with. Anchrum played right tackle full-time in 2018 and 2019 for the Tigers.
Anchrum is a guard of course but this is about depth.
Is he 6'3 too short to play LOT? As it happens, Kromer's 7th round pick in Chicago in 2014, Charles Leno Jr---who became the Bears regular LOT (including a pro bowl year in 2018) is 6'3. So it's not unheard of.
