This year the Eagles had the final 2 comp picks in the 4th round. Jordan Hicks & Golden Tate were the corresponding FA losses.
Hicks signed a four year, $34 million contract with the Cardinals on March 12, 2019. Hicks received a $12 million signing bonus. and $20 million in guarantees. If on the roster on the 3rd day of the 2020 league year he will earn an additional $3 million in full guarantees. There are annual per game bonuses of $1 million.
Golden Tate signed a four year, $37.5 million contract with the Giants on March 14, 2019. Tate's contract contains $22.95 million that is fully guaranteed at signing. Tate's 2019 and 2020 salaries are both guaranteed and he received a $10 million signing bonus.
If Reynolds was a FA this year he would have had to sign for four years, $34M in order for the Rams to get a 4th round comp pick. Are you saying he's worth that?
edit: in 2020 the top FA WRs were Randall Cobb (3 yrs, $27M), Emmanuel Sanders (2 yrs., $24M), and Robby Anderson (3 yrs., $20M). No WRs signed for 4 yrs., no receiver other than these three even signed for 2 or 3 years. After these 3 guys the biggest WR contract was Breshad Perriman's: 1 yr., $6.5M.
