I could see the Rams pass 60% of the time this year. Otherwise, they'd be wasting a loaded WR and TE corps. I mean, why use a 2nd rounder on Jefferson if the issue wasn't crazy depth at WR that could allow the Rams to have 5 receivers running patterns some times? Why use a 4th on another pass catching TE? Sure, I know Reynolds is gone after this year. But they could have used a 4th or even later to develop a 3rd WR. And with Higbee signed for awhile.......
I just think that the Rams are going to do an awful lot of passing this year. They have a OT at both OLG and ORG. The only player on their Oline that didn't come into the league as an OT is Blythe. OT's are trained up as pass blockers and played there in college for that ability.
I expect Goff to average 35 attempts or more every game, and if I had to bet on the over/under on that I'd bet on over. And with either
Akers or Henderson in the backfield, both are very good receivers, so we could see a bunch of what is essentially long hand-offs similar to what the Brady Patriots did in the past.
This is a passing offense. It's not Seattle. It's not Baltimore.
Using the numbers from last year, if the Rams were 60/40 pass to run, they would rank around 14th to 15th or so in run percentage. [

Fwiw, in 2018 they ranked 9th (43.6% runs) and in 2017 they ranked 10th (44.1% runs).
