I’m sure that the coaches are watching the 1st and 2’s very closely to look for any advantages and disadvantages for each player. Then reviewing the film frame by frame after every practice.
Time is short before opening day and nobody needs to remind this staff how important it is to get this OL right. Either we trust Kromer and his staff or we don’t, but it’s obvious that these coaches decided to roll with their existing roster way before the draft so now they’re committed.
As to the D being ahead of the O in a padded but non-tackling scenario? What’s new about that? Let’s let this OL gel and develop chemistry before we make too-hasty impressions.
