It will be hard to pay Ramsey, Kupp AND Johnson, so that's probably likely. I wonder if possibly franchising him for 2021 might be a consideration ($11.44M for safeties in 2020). Very true that the organization is good at finding and developing DBs. But Johnson leaving in 2021 likely nets them a 4th (possibly even 3rd) round comp. pick in 2022 which is also obviously another part of their talent strategy.
The braintrust has set the table for signing Ramsey and Kupp. All the moves they have made since trading for Ramsey and dumping Peters and Cooks made it clear to me what they were doing.
I have no doubt that Ramsey and Kupp will get 2nd contracts with the Rams. They are part of the core the Rams are building around including Donald and Goff.
That's it. Goff, Donald, Ramsey, and Kupp. That's the core.
