Rams Had Trouble with their Headsets/Communications

Reason 1A why you hold a scrimmage in a brand new stadium: Headsets.

Sean McVay said there were many communication issues on the coach headsets, but between tonight and a second scrimmage on Aug. 29th, those should be worked out for the season opener.

Ok so we have a little explanation here for some of the first-team offense issues - Rams coaches were having a lot of issues with their headsets tonight and McVay says that made things “chaotic” - he also was capping some drives after a certain play count.

Sounds like, per Goff, some rotation issues to get used to between calls from Sean McVay and calls from Kevin O’Connell. Goff adds - that’s why it is great to rehearse these things in advance.

McVay does not have an update on Darrell Henderson, who left the scrimmage after coming up gingerly after a run. He says it was “soft tissue” but won’t know more until after he meets with doctors

Sean McVay compared backup QB John Wolford to Doug Flutie. Wolford is 6-foot-1 and can really run the ball as well as sling it, but he’s never thrown an NFL pass.
