That place was practically a land mark in SLO. I worked in the building right next door for about 23 years. Many times going to the Grad right after work for dinner, and a cold one, or hanging out there on weekends, first to shoot pool, then when they changed it up, to dance and party.
Then of course there was Football Sunday mornings with all those screens big & small. I use to meet my nephew there early for a breakfast plate before kickoff at 10AM (Rams were still in St. Louis). Before the 1999 season the Rams games were always on one of the smaller TV's off in a corner somewhere. There wasn't a lot of Ram fans there at the time, but one of them I met was a really nice guy and his daughter (who both bled Blue & Gold). That guy turned out to be Crazylegs, and we had some great times there together when the 1999 hit. Unfortunately, I had to move away a few years later... but will always have great memories of Sunday mornings at the Graduate with good friends, and the GSOT.
I guess those Sundays mornings are gone for good now.... too bad.
