He might be very lucky. A lot of times with the heart by the time you find, it's too late. Maybe he can fix the problem and become a better football player.
They already said he could fix it (no surgery) and that if anything the team is just being precautionary.
That does not sound like an underlying directly medical heart condition.
What it SOUNDS LIKE is that in an off-season with no weight program and no OTAs, a naturally big guy got out of shape. Enough so that the team does not want him playing until he is in shape.
