Other teams were watching the Gurley decline in late ‘18 and increasingly felt that it was less and less necessary to gameplan for the ailing Gurley.

By ‘19 it was the worst kept secret in the NFL as Gurley sank to the bottom third or fourth of all RB’s in the league.

Frankly, it shouldn’t take all that much for Akers/Hendy to exceed the RB threat level of the ‘19 Gurley.
