Liked the kid coming out IMO a highly regarded lower level program in the University of Maine. Demby had length and showed very well at the Senior Bowl and I knew the Rams were interested and when they drafted him in the 5th round I knew the Rams had a steal. In 2018 he was okay in TC & preseason and when he was cut, the Rams were hoping to stash him on the practice squad for a year, but the Detroit Lions claimed him and added Demby to their roster.
When Demby was released, I thought the Rams would try to add him back to their practice squad and they did, but Demby decided to stay in Detroit, but the Rams thought highly enough of him, when they had a spot on the roster avialable, they added Demby to the roster in December, which ensured they would have him for 2019 and I thought that was a brilliant move.
Well, I was wrong, Demby looked horrendous in preseason, no matter what position he played and was so bad against the Browns, that McVay quickly pivoted and went with a rookie in David Edwards. So now, I believe Demby should be released, just seem not strong enough and was overwhelmed no matter who he lined up against.
