Always felt that Brown would be a starter at the dawn of 2020. That's because there's not enough reps to be assured that Akers or Henderson is prepped to be the lead ballcarrier.
However, I may wrong by a long shot. The fact is that they believe (by Ramswire accounts) that Akers long time efforts to create for himself gives him an advantage over the other two guys.
For me. Henderson, to this point, has needed help to gain plus yards. His college tape is dazzling, but his rookie year is utterly about the fumbled ball on the first play out of the tunnel against the 49ers. That was a huge, like colossal mistake. Enough that between the RB room, practices, and review that Akers probably enjoys a good shot at being #1 by game 2 or 3.
