Re: NFL, NFLPA--healthy athltetes don't die fr C

July 10, 2020 06:57AM
I think that is incredibly short sighted. It is not about if a player dies it is also about what happens when a player gets the virus and then sees his family, many young children, wifes, grandparents neighbors etc. Do we know all players family health history? It seems similar to people complaining about masks, its not for .your protection it is protection of others. Athletes will be susceptible because there immune systems will be lowered during peak physical effort.
Avery Bradley of the Lakers opted out of the NBA restart due to his children's health although many think he opted out due to making a statement about the Black Lives Matter movement. Its about the health and well being of everyone! Similar situation happening with schools. People are saying most kids do not get sick. That's wonderful except for the few that do or every teacher that is in the classroom and then goes home maybe stops at the store etc. Think long view

It seems difficult to assess the long term effects of the virus

PHDram180July 11, 2020 08:06AM

Exactly. How do you assess long term effects with only 3 months of data?
