I wish you had said that about AT&T.....IMO very poorly run, too big for their pants.....zero concern with their actual performance. I still pay by check (yes it is still available) I do it because it makes me feel I have more control of my accounts. These a holes send me an e-mail alert on my account balance (14 days out), then send me a bill in the mail less then 10 days before it's due. So every month when I get the bill I need to pay it, send it out.....I start getting e-mail alerts that they have not yet received my payment.
My point being that I have never seen a company send out a bill without at least 14 days to response time....AT&T cuts that by 4 sometimes 5 days....A holes through and through.....ask them and they say if you don't like it go paperless. My point to that is they are TRYING to Force me into their wants....They out and out suck. I've heard their phone service is very poor as well..everything they touch is negative Midas Touch.....
Direct TV go by the way side? You may well be right, but IMO it's AT&T that needs to put down the flusher.
