How long has it been since Colin Kapernick has played in the NFL? 2 years? 3 years?
But even more, a blind man can see what his actual agenda is, and it isn't football per se..... he wants to use football as a national stage for his personal platform and source of funds to proclaim his political views and protests.
I can't say that someone might not hire him. But it would be an owner demanding it, and not an HC or GM wanting it. Coaches want guys who are football 24/7/365. GMs want guys who will help the team win, and a QB is perhaps the most important. But all this is the furthest definition of Colin Kapernick..... whether he has retained his skills or not.
And BTW, Mr. Goodell has made an enormous mistake in backing all these protests in an official way. Where, now, does he draw the line? Just how much protest is OK? What can be the nature of the protest? Can it be some players protesting the protesters? By whom? When? Only at the beginning of games? How about during games? Will he, in the name of the NFL, support one....some....all? He is no longer a true commissioner; he has become a political figure and taken sides. Really bad idea.
