He was 2nd all-time in receiving yards when he retired, I believe only behind Jerry Rice and first got into the Hall of Fame many seasons later.
He simply had a better overall career than Warner, Faulk, and Pace, but doesn't get recognized. And he was the playmaker of the biggest play in RAMS history that won the one and only superbowl.
