I was disheartened for him and he (being 'a nice Italian boy') was my family's favorite Ram as well. Also being 1980 I had no clue how to mail a letter to him. So my father calls the local CBS station's sportscaster- and gets the guy on the phone- who thumbs through some book he had and finds the Rams' mailing address for us. I wrote the letter, we mail it, that was it. About 2-3 months later I get a manila envelope in the mail and inside is a personalized autographed photo from Vince. "To William, best wishes, Vince Ferragamo." Still have it. I'll post a photo of it sometime.
