I think the combo of Akers, Henderson, Brown could be pretty darn good.
I saw 3 or 4 FSU games this year (almost not watchable), but Akers was a head and shoulders above all others on offense. And what Deadpool and Alyo and others have said about him I concur. The guy was usually dodging Dlinemen in the backfield a split hair after he got the handoff, and he still managed to do damage. He has that NFL body that isn't tall, but is compact and powerful, with excellent speed and just superb stop and go. He reminds me just a tad of Faulk the way he can stop on a dime, wait for a potential tackler to grab air, and then start again. Very accomplished as a complete RB the same way Jefferson is accomplished as a complete WR. No HSW guys, or developmental guys here. They are as NFL ready as rookies can generally be. Now it's learning the nuances of McVay's offense and doing things the way he wants done.
I agree that provided he gets a full training camp and plenty of work in the preseason, he'll be the starter on day 1, sharing time with Henderson and Brown. I suppose how much of Brown will depend on the down, distance, and team we're playing. But both Akers and Brown are tough to deny near the goal line.
