... are simply being jerks or irresponsible here. To my knowledge, nobody in a visible leadership position has acted in ANY way that suggests pettiness or vindictiveness, and even if they were so inclined they're certainly not stupid. And, if they're knowingly in the wrong, it'd be plain stupid to do this just in terms of PR. A Curley-Rams flap is sure to cause a flap.
On the other hand, ample reason to think Gurley can be a turd. Course, wouldn't expect *him* to act like this either without cause. But if it's the misunderstanding lies either w/the Rams or with Gurley, I'll guess it's Gurley. Certainly, saying that he won't be in touch w/his former teammates and, presumably, friends, until the money issue if resolved is
at best a weak attempt at humor. just
As for the Rams not saying much publicly, I'd be surprised if it were otherwise at this point. I'd fully expect them to want to de-escalate things, regardless of what the facts of the matter are. Everything about the way this team treats players, past and present, sends the message that they treat players very well. They certainly don't badmouth players, including former players. That has served and will continue to serve them well, especially in free agency.
The truth about the Gurley situation will come out soon enough.
