and as long as he plays within himself and the system - I think his mobility and accuracy work in his favor - as long as he doesn't panic.
I'd like to see more of him this year...but generally, I like vet QBs that know the game and are on their downside as opposed to having an inexperienced QB cut his teeth when our starter goes down. It's, usually, very hard to find inexperienced backups that thrive for multiple games.
It happens...I think it's just kinda rare.
Give me vet QB that is avg but can carry the team for 3-4 games and win 50% of those games until the starter comes back. That's why it's absurd to go into a season where if your starting QB goes down..the season might as well be over. That's not fair to the other 52 players on the team. imo
Dallas was so smart to sign Dalton...and the Saints had Bridgewater to win 5 games and get them to the playoffs.
