Almost everywhere I look I see evidence that the Rams intend to take full advantage of those two qualities.
RB
OL (looks like it will be at least 8 deep forcing some tough cuts)
TE
WR (truly 4 deep)
DL (great starters and quality rotation)
Edge (if Lewis remains healthy, look out!)
CB (so many quality starters in base, so many quality depth players for packages)
S (here again, quality starters in base, quality depth for packages)
PK (3 bonafide candidates to replace GZ)
With any kind of even decent OL play I see McVay being able to run either inside or outside, a deadly screen game, killer play action, success with 11 sets, 12 sets, maybe even 22 sets and 13 sets. Success with passing short, medium, and deep. I mean the possible options are almost limitless. Talk about versatility and unpredictability.
Staley seems loaded with options, too. What a DL! And the secondary ain’t too shabby, either. We can expect lots and lots of nickel, dime, and maybe even the occasional quarter sets this season.
I can’t wait wait to see how Staley uses all his toys this season.
I think that opponents should expect the unexpected from both the Ram O and D this season.
