Akers was a standout in pass protection, as well. He earned an 86.4 PFF pass-blocking grade in 2018 and a 72.2 PFF pass-blocking grade in 2019. He allowed just 15 total pressures across his 324 pass-blocking snaps at Florida State.

With Gurley gone, McVay is going to want a RB he trusts in pass pro.

His stats aren't close to some of the other top backs in the class, but he was also running behind the fourth lowest graded power-5 run blocking unit. Backs like D'Andre Swift (1st run blocking) , Jonathan Taylor (6th), and Clyde Edwards-Helaire (14th) were on the opposite end of the spectrum.

Do you have a link for the source on that?

Thanks.
