Appears that they were all in on Cam and Van and weren't willing to risk losing them like Snead lost Bobby Wagner in 2012.

Wagner went at #47 overall that year and the Rams had pick 45 and traded down to 50. Wonder if Snead had that in mind when he nixed the trade down.

I think you nailed it, max. That was my very thought when reading the piece.
